Available in 35 stone with a dual Tilt in Space (TiS) mechanism and 40 stone with a dual Standard (STD) mechanism these popular chairs are a bit more homely than the more medical style Bariatric chairs.
Available in 100's of different fabric options, vinyl and leather if you're looking for a bariatric riser recliner that fits in with your other furniture then these will probably provide the closest match.
Most of the Homecare range of chairs are available in these weight limits so you can have lots of different back choices, arm styles and extras such as heat, massage etc. can also be added. With seat widths up to 30" and heights up to 20" these chairs can be made to measure.
Things To Consider
Although these hand built chairs are made using stronger frames and motors and top quality hard wearing fabrics they're not as specialist as our other Bariatric Rise and Recline Chair options.
They come with a 2 year manufacturer warranty as standard and this can be extended to 5 years with a Homeserve policy to give you extra of peace of mind although sometimes a more specialist chair could be the better option.
The part of the chair that suffers the most on Bariatric chairs tends to be the seat cushion and the fabric that it's upholstered in. Thicker piled fabric can be subject to pile crushing and seat foams can compress and leave indentations. Whilst pile crush can be reversed to some extent by steaming the area and foam compression would normally be covered by the warranty it's worth considering a fabric with a shorter pile or a chair that has a removable seat that can be replaced much easier than a fixed seat chair.
Prices And Delivery
These beautiful chairs are hand made to order and will usually take around 8 weeks from time of order to delivery. A 2 person delivery service is included in the price and the chair will be placed where you’d like it, unwrapped and demonstrated so that you’re happy and confident in how your new Bariatric Riser Recliner Chairs works. Please be aware that the delivery is to a ground floor room and there may be a charge if the chair has to be delivered to a property or room that isn’t on the ground floor. We may be able to remove a piece of furniture too although there will also be a charge for this service. As with everything please contact us for advice and details if you have any questions.
